Another finished commission, soon to be stickers :3 Thanks so much!
Icons of my OC's "Kitty" (the pink one), "Finn" (The yellow one) Then there's also Nyx and Gangle.~
So like, my birthday is next week and I was kinda sorta hoping to open up for some small icon commissions if anyone was interested. I'd like to maybe get myself something nice for my birthday.
All icons are going to be single character and flat colored for just $15. Please send me a message if interested. <3
first day as a minor tang dynasty bureaucrat, and you've been tasked with doordashing some delicious lychees for the emperor's favourite concubine, which would be bad enough, seeing as lychees only grow in the southernmost reaches of the empire, resulting in a treacherous, arduous, 2,500 km round-trip--except upon accepting the commission, you realise your boss stuck a post-it note over the word "fresh" to make it "preserved," and you've been sabotaged from the very begining, so you've got no choice but to struggle against fate, corruption, and human fallacy in a poignant and bittersweet story that highlights the lives of the little people who live in behind the scenes of historical epics, oiling the cogs of Empire with their blood, sweat and tears.
for this piece, I went with flat shoujo style background, with the bright, over-saturated colours, and liberal application of screentones and sparkle-sparkle-effects. Li Shande is juxtaposed against it in dramatic, film noir lighting.
big thanks to @vineyardelf for the commission! it gave me some art to look forward to after handing in The Horrors, and for turning me on to another great work of historical fiction. I highly recommend everyone go watch the tv show litchi road , or read the novel it's based off lychees of chang'an.
Sad artist hours :( I’m working on my last commission and after this it’s just me and my thoughts… save a small artist
