The easy, sure-fire way to make people click on your articles

At Symbar, we’ll probably never stop harping on about how great the internet is. There’s so much out there for free. Today we’ll clue you in on a killer tool that will help you think like us copywriters. It’s called the Headline Analyzer.
It’s simple: Next time you think of a headline for your ads or articles, simply type it into Advanced Marketing Institute’s Headline Analyzer. It will give you a percentage rating telling you how engaging your title is, and how likely it is people will interact with it.
Let’s give it a spin with two variations of the same headline.
Headline 1: How to shave your back in three easy steps
We plugged it in, chose the ‘Personal Care & Services’ category, and we got a 33.33%. Not bad at all - good copywritten headlines sit in the 30 to 40% range.
Here’s how we can make it better.
Headline 2: Hygiene can be a challenge without these ultimate secrets
This bad boy got a solid 50%. It’s better because it appeals to men without lots of time to spend on hygiene (yes, it does happen). The ‘ultimate secrets’ part works like a catch-all for their doubts - if the secrets are ultimate, they’re probably exclusive to me, and if I follow them, my problem will be solved.
Give it a try. It’s not easy, but you may find some killer headlines to boost your articles. If people say the internet blogosphere is a sea of messages in bottles, then this tool can give you a bigger bottle. Or, you know, we could do it for you. We’re pretty awesome at it.
