                     “Like I said, I wanted to go bungee jumping in Macau but I had to attend two or three business meetings. It was annoying.” Hwayoung tells Jangmi, it was one of those trips where they don't cross paths at all so they talk about it over brunch. “Anyway, where have you been in the past few days? I haven't seen you for a while nor did I hear from you.” Grabbing her coffee and sipping on it as she eyes Jangmi curiously. There was something different about her. She was glowing but in a different way. She was curious if it's because she found some guy that she hasn't told her about just yet. “You're glowing.” She points out as she puts down her coffee, crossing her legs and her arms as she squints her eyes at him. “Is it a new skincare routine or is it a new guy?”

          A frantic tug of his corners, his brows scrunching above disconcerted hues. sitting by the bench of the playground, his eldest son jimin and his youngest jaejin, sitting by his side. a hand grabbing onto their matching hoodies as to make sure no one tries to escape like the middle child did. his other hand, clutched tightly on his phone, ( @seojngmi​ ) on his screen, calling her. once the ringing stopped, he immediately began screaming into the phone, as if disregarding the fact that he could have called the wrong number. ❝ help, jongin went missing when i was at the playground with the kids. i don’t know where he went, i looked everywhere. i asked jimin and jaejin if they knew and they all shook their heads. please help, i’ll text you my location. ❞ 

          Regret fuelling his veins, seeping into the rest of him system, his organs are now glowing an iridescent hue of worry and self loathing. if only he was more careful, more aware of his children. disconcerted hues became frightened, threatening to crack the responsible father figure, a clear facade of the man he truly wanted to be. ❝ did you get the text ? i’m counting on you. ❞

                    It was the second time today that she was calling Jangmi. A friend she met on an airplane. With a ticket going to almost anywhere, her frequent travels landed her to getting a good friend in Jangmi. Upon hearing her voice at the other end of the line, Hwayoung sighs right away. 

“Hey you, this is your favorite VIP. How can you not pick up on the first time I called?” She asks while packing her bag. “When's your next flight and where are you off to?” She asks, not wanting to stress herself out with deciding where to go for her next escapade. “Don't ask me why I'm leaving the country again. I just need some inspiration for work.” Pausing and sighing again. “Or you know, some relaxation. I won't get that by sticking around here and seeing.. far too many familiar faces, honestly.”
