Seorae Village AKA the French Village
This past Monday we decided to take a little excursion to see Seorae Village since it is near the neighborhood we are staying (near the Express Bus Terminal Station on Line 3). It's a well-known French ex-pat community: According to our friends at Wikipedia, it's home to 40% of the French community in Seoul. Not sure where the rest retreated...
We spent a couple hours wandering through the streets and stopped in at French bakery, Paris Croissant, which is a South Korean company that "utilizes authentic French baking." We ordered, and immediately inhaled, a chocolate croissant and a salami and cornichon sandwich. They were both delicious and a bit on the expensive side, but hey, it's French. Then we tortured ourselves by walking around their dessert area downstairs...OMG: cakes, macarons in every flavor imaginable, REAL cheese, and chocolates.
