☼: how i came up with the idea

i actually had the idea for a benny hannibal au for years before i even thought of writing it, but it was always as a kind of short set of vignettes that was more human!au than anything else. the actual moment where i was like 'i should write this, and i should set it in dellah-era' was when ivq posted some doodles about a hannibal au and i was like 'dare me to write this' and then she did, the madman.

✄: something i deleted before the final draft

plenty of things, actually. i think the most interesting to note would be that the entity in brax's head was meant to straight-up be pandora. that was my original intention, but the more i wrote the more i realized that it didn't fit quite right, and also that i didn't feel like attempting to unravel the timelines vis-a-vis whatever the fuck brax has going on. so it became a planetary entity of doom and hunger instead. i like it better this way.

★: something i’m proud to have accomplished

just... finishing it. capping it all of in a satisfying way and making all of the plot threads come together, and most importantly making something that so many people enjoyed. enough so that there was MERCH. merch. for the cannibalism fic! god damn.
