its all coming together
Hello, fellow DTA lovers. I've created a document with every reoccurring theme in the series that I could find (fuck yourself, I win, birth to death, etc). It also has an Obscure Characters page (not finished) with summaries on, mostly, the Romans. I'm also currently adding a favorite quotes/scenes tab, which is mostly for me, but I figure some of yours may be on there as well. While I won't be adding other people's favorites to it, if I missed any themes or scenes that should be within them, please let me know - in a comment on the doc, as I likely won't see comments here. In the future, I may also be adding tabs for all the plot lines, but that's not certain. Please read the note in the first tab before perusing as it has some important information. Thank you and I greatly hope you enjoy ❤️

DtA season
Just finished my annual re-read of Down to Agincourt. I slow down reading at the end because I never want it to be over. If you ever see this Seperis, please know how much this story means to so many people. I would make a crossroads deal to read the remainder of GoG. I love Alicia and Vera as much as I love Cas and Dean. As always, thank you for this gift. Long live DtA in hell, heaven and all alternate timelines.
do we know if dta will ever be updated/finished?
Hi Nonny!
I mean, one could argue that a work of art doesn't need to be finished in order to be complete. Can't we consider non-finito pieces as perfect in their own right? Like, is the Venus de Milo less impressive because of its lack of arms? No!
...
THAT BEING SAID I'm notably not seperis and couldn't even begin to speculate. But life is long! Who knows what the future holds? I think our best bet now is to enjoy what we've got and not worry too much about the rest. :)

james t. kirk / s'chn t'gai spock, star trek: kelvin timeline
"If you touch me," he says slowly, "I'll kill you. Or you'll have to kill me. Do we understand each other?" Spock nods. "As you would say: crystal."
Speaking of Amok Time (yes, today yesterday was the day, I'm just late as usual), I can't help but mention one of my favorite AOS fics, which plays on this theme in its own special way.
It's Jim who goes through Pon Farr, which is the result of his mind-meld with Prime Spock (as is the case in most AOS fanfiction, my inner TOS fan resents all of this, but it's not that AOS K/S is to blame, it's all Abrams!), but it's actually a wonderfully written, very AOS-styled thing, with roughness, sharp angles, tension, hopelessness, the feeling of an approaching storm, a whiff of war, and some incredible loneliness of two beings in an empty house at the end of the world (in Iowa), trying not to destroy each other in an attempt to save each other.
This story has a sequel in the form of a short bonus single and a long, tense story about the events in the epicenter of "one step away from war - almost here." I have more mixed feelings about the sequel (although it's obviously beautifully written), but I absolutely adore this thing. This is a well-written "drama in a room", which is composed like a puzzle of flashbacks and the present, confusing you until the very end, constantly holding on to this "almost closeness", walking on the edge of "is this forced, or is it really desired for the other?", talking about a reality that is far from ideal, and about possibilities that will never be, and about the ghosts that haunt us.
