Sephy decided to take an alternate route to work today, one that took him past most of his friend’s homes, and the alley where the sick and homeless were taken care of by a kind woman. Sephy was the woman’s helper, he would get items for soup every week and on Friday, bring them to her. He adjusted the long loaf of bread that he had in his arms and continued walking, thinking about how surprised the others will be when they see that he brought them a treat.
He approached the alleyway, seeing the familiar sight of people along the walls, bundled up in blankets. Some of them seemed to light up then they saw them. The woman had her pot in the middle of the narrow alley so that you could barely get through and had to go around the building if you needed to get to the other side.
“Sephy!" The woman exclaimed in happiness. Normally she would give Sephy a hug, but it seemed a bundle in her arms stopped her from doing that, “Go ahead and set the ingredients next to the pot and pass out the bread in your arms to the people around here."
The silverette nodded and did as he was told, giving everyone as equal a piece of bread as he could. Most thanked him, especially the toddlers that lived with their mothers, which he gave a bigger piece too than anyone else. Some fought over who got the biggest piece, but decided it didn’t really matter. When Sephy was done, he turned to the bundle that the woman held close to her, he realized that it was a baby when it started crying. The woman tried for a while to calm the baby down, but it didn’t work.
“Can I hold it?" Sephy asked and the woman nodded and gently placed the baby in his arms. The silverette then proceeded to rock his arms gently side to side as he had seen his adopted mother do with Eklipse when she was a baby. It worked and the child instantly calmed down.
“His mother just recently passed away from an illness…" She sighed, “Sephy, i’m out here all the time… I… I can’t raise a child… but if I leave him here, he’ll freeze to death… can you look after him?" She asked him.
Sephy looked to the baby, who was already cold to the touch, then to the woman and then smiled, “Sure!" He replied, hugging the little one close, “though i’m not sure how to… to be honest."
“Pick up some baby formula from the market, change his diaper, wash him, give him lots of attention, things like that" She replied, “in the meantime, i’ll look for a nice orphanage for him to go to… or some parents that are willing to adopt him, okay?"
Sephy nodded, “I should really get going then, i’ll call into work saying I can’t come in, and if my boss asks me why, i’ll tell him the truth, anyway, goodbye" He waved at the woman and people in the alleyway, “Hope you all enjoy your meal!" There were many shouts of ‘thank you’ and ‘we will’ and a ‘thank you so much’ from the lady. Sephy nodded in response and, with the little bundle held close to his heart, he left.
((Wow, this turned into an entire story… so who wants to RP this?))
