the metaphor's ironic isn't it?

They said you'd bring me eternal life

... but you just left eternal there.

UM Review: September Call-Up -Air and My Sleep

          September Call-Up - Air and My Sleep Record Label: Wissahickon Records Release Date: June 25th, 2013 Reviewed by: Kirstie

September Call-Up is made up of Christian Bitto, singer songwriter and founder of the band, and Jesse Gimbel recording engineer and multi-instrumentalist. This collaboration came about when Jesse was working on Christian’s debut EP in 2012. The EP did well among fans and critics and was labelled as honest because of the real issues the lyrics addressed.

“DeNiro” is one of my favourites from the album, if I close my eyes while listening to this song, I imagine myself in an old run down bar, full of people all talking about everything and anything, with these playing in the background, waiting for someone to notice them, and then when the drums kick in and everyone turns and realises they’re there and actually listens to them and their set. “Our First Fall” is another favourite; the pain and heartbreak you can squeeze from the powerful lyrics are something everyone feels they can relate to.

Rating: 4/5 The debut album, Air And My Sleep, shows how Christian how evolved with his music and rather than the low key music in the EP, the album has a full band sounds behind him. Christian hasn’t strayed from talking about real subjects but has fallen into the conventional problems like love and loss.

The orders of the songs on the album are very well organised, with tracks nearer the end being slightly more joyful and upbeat, like “Ghosts.” It’s as if you’re going through all the stages of love and loss as you listen through the album. The lyrics are well thought out and make you think about your own and other peoples problems throughout it. It’s the type of album everyone will feel like they can or have related with it at one point in their life.

Air and My Sleep will be released on June 25th, 2013 through Wissahickon Records where it is currently being streamed

Some cool stuff going on.

We're doing a radio show Thursday night 4-6 at WXLV in Allentown, PA playing some songs live and hanging out.

We're opening for The Apache Relay when they come through Philly on 12/12/12

We're going on out first small tour in January,4 dates: Philly PA, Bethlehem PA, Brooklyn NY, New Haven CT. Come out if you live near any of those places!
