I’m going to do this rather quickly and say I’d fuck Kasia, for the fun of it; I’d marry Amaris, because she’s nice enough and I’d kill September. There’s nothing personal with her, I just can’t fuck someone who’s preggers and I wouldn’t marry someone to raise a child that’s not mine. Thoughts on September and Ethan's friendship?

I think they have a lovely friendship... If she left her alcohol aside, she could even be a good role model for Ethan's daughter. What else can you ask for when you have someone like that by your side?

Fall begins ...

September came to the Vineyard with warmer temperatures than June, July, or August, and the humidity that comes from the Gulf Stream.  Labor Day came early this year, and the week afterward was dramatically different than the week before:  the Island feels empty of vacationers.  Main Street was quiet, and the war for parking spaces had (nearly) ended.

The shop is different now, too - nearly all of the customers are locals, and they linger, they chat with each other, and the slightly frenetic pace of summer is gone.
