September Devlog: The Villaintine Sepia

Howdy-ho~ Hello~ Hello~ and welcome to my very first devlog for The Villatine: Sepia featuring my progress for the month! (progress, what progress?) So, as you may know, I'm from the Philippines, which makes today the end of September. Here's a chart for the short summary of what I've done so far:

September Update

Hey ya’ll! It’s been a while since I last posted.

My sister flew back to her island 2 weeks ago so I have been living alone ever since and it’s been a little scary and exhilarating at the same time. I forgotten how much I missed living by myself. I love that there are stores up the street that I can walk to. When I was living in NC everything was too spaced out to walk to, like the gas stations and other smaller stores were too far away. 

Niagara Falls has been treating me great! I do miss my niece and nephews terribly and hadn’t gotten the chance to talk to them in over 3 weeks since I’ve been here but my sister FINALLY gotten around to letting me speak with them over the phone and then we got the chance to face time so I can see their cute little faces. I think I had been trying to contact them since I’ve been here but my sister’s excuses was that she’s been too busy and that she doesn’t really have a lot of time to talk on the phone.

I am so in love with my room! I have so much more space and the last week before my sister left I was keeping myself busy with giving it a make over. In just 5 days I completed painting my room all by myself. My sister helped primed it the first time, then I primed it the second time to get rid of that hideous hot pink job that her ex(including the dumb hand prints that his kids left on the ceiling), and now the room is a beautiful mint green. I also had gotten some white paint to cover up some spots that was poorly done before.

My fall semester doesn’t start until October so I’m praying that NC survives Hurricane Florence during the weekend because I didn’t get to order my school books! I almost did but my FA didn’t cover it because the refunds that I’m suppose to be getting back isn’t going to be available until the Fall. 

 Unknowingly I had gotten out of NC right on time, had I know about this storm coming through if I had stayed longer, thank god I didn’t but I am very concerned about the sister and the kids that I’d left behind. I guess my aunt as well even though I’m feeling some type of way about her because of some things I found out that she’s been keeping from me but I guess I’m not that cold hearted or two-faced. The storm is supposedly bringing lots of wind, rain, flooding, and hella damage to the Carolina’s.

Septembers ended.

I've already been in Oxford nearly a month again. Architecture second year is fully underway and it has been pretty exhausting but exciting. I have been to the largest council estate in England, I have helped edit a magazine, I have helped organise a large social, I have learnt to print a magazine, I have consumed a lot of alcohol, I have booked warpaint tickets, I have learnt Indesign and Rhino, I have made more friends, I have taken criticism, I have cooked some brilliant meals, I have organised my life.

Now I've just got to get a high 2:1/ a first this year.

Aspirations are key.
