So, folks, earlier this year I tried my hand at music creation and uh, it didn’t go so well! Long story short, I was completely out of my depth and ran into unforeseen issues which ran the gamut from software/hardware compatibility problems to the fact that I would have to spend some serious coin on instruments that I have absolutely no room for! For me to record the kind of music that I want to make, I estimated I’d have to spend several thousand dollars on a drum set for an organic sound, a good keyboard, microphones, amps and software. What I ended up creating were some beats using an electronic drum set (which I had to borrow incidentally) and some sequencer keys. I’ve always been personally drawn to playing percussion because I happen to be able to carry a decent beat. The track just above is the ONE AND ONLY piece of music you’ll ever hear that I personally made. I’ve decided to leave music to actual professionals and stick to what I’m actually good at (art, voice work, writing). I actually like how it turned out; it starts off kind of mystical and the tone is kind of menacing. That said, this post marks the beginning and end of my musical career. It was a very abbreviated career, but man, what a ride! And at least I tried something different this year! Smash play and enjoy dear listener!
