Sera is happy to join the potato club, as she is good buddies with Tatsu. Yelv calling you a potato shortly after going through all the introduction Tatsu scenes is just…good timing.

I forgot until I took this picture that XCXDE dosen't have this exact hairstyle anymore (at least from the face types I check out) but that's fine I suppose.

I'm super happy with the QOL changes they've done, but I still question certain things but that's for another time. Overall I've been enjoying how much smoother the game is.

Sera is ready to return!!

I haven't drawn her in a while so it's nice to draw her again!! I didn't expect to draw her before the DE release but I "had" some time last night and decided to give it a shot.

In summary: After finding the Lifehold, Sera becomes more reclusive and choosing to make conversations short and to the point when having to deal with others, whether it’s new BLADEs or friends. After being adopted into the Christoph family against her will (a post about that later will come probably), one of the things they did to get her to open up again is throw a new BLADE at her, Danniel. Despite her reluctance to make conversation, Danniel is patient with her and makes conversations anyways, even if it’s mostly one-sided, eventually getting Sera to open up a little bit by the end of their first mission together. It had been the first time in a long while since she had worked with new BLADEs since finding the Lifehold. After keeping to herself and her small usual group of companions, her adoptive Christoph brothers threw a new BLADE at her to work with, much to her reluctance. She had heard plenty of the BLADE from Phog from time to time, but this was the first time actually meeting Danniel.

Her reluctance made her more mission focused than socializing, but that didn't stop him from trying to converse throughout their mission in Oblivia. One particular topic stayed in her mind long after the topic had passed - her favourite location outside of NLA. At the time he asked, she automatically responded vaguely as she had with each previous question. While Danniel happily answered his own question, listing his top locations, her eyes wandered skywards to the hanging islands and back down to the large mechanical ring embedded deep in the ground below it. Her siblings' words hung heavier over her head about how she should be trying to be more social and friendly like how she was when they had first met her. This question should not have been so hard for her to answer honestly, especially when her answer was right in front of her. She mentally kicked herself for not sharing this one, already beginning to dread facing her siblings' disappointment.

With partial guilt for not treating Danniel socially well and for not following her siblings' words, she asked him on their way back from Oblivia if they could stop outside of NLA so she could show him something. It took her a moment after settling down on the rocky and grassy outcrop East of NLA before she slowly admitted to him that the rings in Oblivia are one of her favourite things in Mira to look at, and how NLA from the outside reminds her of it. That was the most she felt comfortable with sharing with him, but he was thrilled nonetheless and latched back onto the conversation topic now that the quiet Prospector opened up. In the end, they might not have spent time admiring the landscapes that would be expected, but if Danniel would have her on another mission, then perhaps they could spend some time actually admiring landscapes or other such things.

Thank you Pongo @xenoblade-trash Santa for giving Sera a present! Here’s a little quick comic of her finding it. You can read the fic over here. Out of the ones I suggested who Pongo could learn about what to get for Sera, I figured Frye would be the most teasing and being a brat about it.

Little bit about Sera’s outfit and some story! She wears the red and white t-shirt and the red workpants(?) (sweatpants) as casual wear post game after the Christophs decide to do something about her negative attitude towards humans that developed through the main game and side missions. By adopting her into their family. With “some” resistance” from her. She wears the gloves from the...”Glove” armwear (I think that’s the name of it.) It also usually has the shoulder armour piece too, but that would interfere with her T-shirt so she ditches that part.

She also wears a scarf, an even though I haven’t decided on the actual colour pattern, it IS made from the excess tank tops from those missions. She thinks they’re useless as equipment, but after learning to think more positively by the Christophs, she decided to re-purpose them as something “more useful”. She once made a blanket out of them for Lin, so why not a scarf as well?

She still wears the same armour for combat, but her causal gear changes through the story. One day I hope to go more into her changes while on Mira, but here’s a bit for now, for those who are still interested in learning more about her.

Armwear - Grip - Candid & Credible Medium. Vivid, level 25, the same one Sera wears on her left arm.

Holofigures allow you to see stupid amounts of detail. So while it may not be in the pose you want, it can help with understanding some of the armour better. Works really well for weapons. In this case for the Grip, the fourth piece that appears under the wrist gets clipped, so that makes it harder to draw it accurately.

Prospector Division Gloves! Not really related to the Cross Division Shirt prompt...It’s just Gear related to/branded by a Division.

At the time I’m posting this, she’ll still be a Pathfinder. But the switch will happen the next time I play and remember to change it. Because after planting probes for the Pathfinders, what’s next? Tourism aid? No thank you.
