Alrighty then, I'm back. As promised, a Peter-fic sea bass serving for the High Seraphim herself! Took me a while to figure out what to make but I figured you'd like something classy.
Saint Peter carefully, proudly, brought up a container with a generous serving of pan-fried sea bass on top of ratatouille with some added basil over it. The inside of the container had steam inside, indicating the meal was recently made and warm still thankfully. He even went out of his way to try and decorate it tupperware with whatever sauce he made like how fancy restaurants do.
I may have lied about this apology meal being hypothetical but I'm sure you can forgive me for that and not helping you at all back during the tv guy stuff, right? Nothing quite like a good meal to take the mind off things. No explanations, weird news, or anything here. Just some good fish dishes.
Yeah he knows he can't lie for the life of him, he's trying his best though.

"Thank you, Peter. I can see you put great care into this."
Sera was gracious more out of politeness than anything else; while the meal was very well made, she was too preoccupied with his ulterior motive to appreciate it. She set it down, but did not move to eat just yet.
"Please, take a seat. Tell me what is on your mind."
It was Saint Peter, so she doubted it was anything serious. At the same time, he was the gatekeeper, and she could not very well dismiss his clear unease, especially not after recent events.
"Has something happened at the gates?"
