Ive just woken up and found out from online friends that the Philippine Congress has opened a public poll regarding the legalization of same sex marriage in the country

Personally, I doubt they would go forward with it based on poll results, but it wont hurt to dream, right?

As you can see the votes so far are quite neck and neck (which isnt surprising considering how religious people are) but this was a huge boost from the voting results last night

Theres no guarantee itll affect anything but considering how Taiwan recently passed a bill that gives same-sex couples the right to get married and is the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage, I hope Philippines can follow suit soon
