How strange it was to see the girl communicate with the Remlit, and though there was a certain intelligence with all sorts of animals on Skyloft, the two seemed to understand each other perfectly well. It was a bit strange to see but all the same fascinating too.
Why? Why indeed, she found herself wondering. In the heat of the moment, she blurted out during her chiding for hurting the Remlit. Zelda’s kindness –– unfortunately –– could never wane away and this strange meeting served as a testament to that. “Well I’m not that angry if anything I’m more upset,” she huffs and this much was true, instead Zelda had felt more perturbed than angry (though small sparks of anger worked in tandem with her bewildered state).“Anyone would get upset to see someone treat an animal like that. I don’t want to see any more animals getting hurt which is why I offered.” That was part of her reason as well, she had no doubt that the Loftwings can handle themselves just fine against this girl, she had a worrying thought that maybe this young girl would get hurt instead.
“Now c’mon we should get going before they close up Lumpy Pumpkin. Trust me, you’ll thank me later for this.”
“Ah,” She said simply. “That is quite the difference.”
Between her Devil and Grora, Ater was used to being on the receiving end of someone’s ire. Usually they weren’t all that nice about it, by taking away lap privileges or threatening to shoot her with an arrow, so she was surprised at the girl’s actions. “I promise I won’t do it again.”
Ater floated just high enough for her feet to dangle off the ground, preparing to follow the girl’s lead. Now that she understood why the stranger offered her the meal, she was ready to accept it.
“Lumpy Pumpkin.” She repeated, more just for the sake of saying something than anything else. “Pumpkins on their own don’t taste very good. Do they have pumpkin pie? That would be nice.” Especially if they made their pie as well as Dialo’s. Even if they didn’t serve it, she was in the mood for just about anything at this point. Her stomach let out an audible growl, making her wish she had grabbed a snack before leaving.
The demon reached into her jacket pocket to take out some gold. “I’m not sure how much the food will cost, but I have my own money.“ She knew that most worlds had different currencies, but experience told her gold was valuable anywhere. And maybe the stranger would ease up on her if she paid for her own food. She wanted to get on her good side after she decided to help her out.
“May I know your name? Since you’re helping me get food and all… I’m called Ater!” Her tone of voice was noticeably more cheerful.
