perhaps the most curious thing that vah ruta has to offer is her endless knowledge. not only does he have access to her namesake’s knowledge and memories, but during deep sessions of meditation, he can reach further.
this time, he’s pushing his limits. he’s gone so far back that the zora he sees in the depths lack any form of humanity. they’re little more than oversized fish, puffing and hissing at him. he swims fast out of there, clamoring onto the grassy shore before they can turn on the image of their curious descendant.
a bit of wandering aimlessly through the forest leads him to a temple before an enormous pit, and movement catches his eye. there’s a young woman, a girl perhaps, standing before the temple. and though he’s never met her, he knows exactly who she is.
the embodiment of hylia. the first zelda.
his feet tap dully against the dirt and grass, and as soon as he has stepped close enough to garner her attention, he bows deep.
when he stands, he smiles, careful not to give her a smile full of pointed teeth.
“Pardon my intrusion, Highness...”
