“Note to self: do NOT scroll through the #SNK 85 tag. I thought I’d be...”
There was nothing "not-chill" about what you wrote. I don't know what they're going on about. The fact that people are trying to silence fans who are grieving for a character that was purposefully implemented into the story to draw those kind of emotions out of the readers is pretty sad. It means they either didn't care for the story or are just along for this ride for their pet-character/ship. I'm sticking around because the story is still engaging to me.
Thank you! I won’t deny I’m still peeved over Erwin, but thinking in the bigger picture I can kind of understand why things are playing out the way they are in SNK. Doesn’t mean I like it or agree with how it’s being done, but it’s not like me being upset has totally robbed me of critical thinking. (Or has it? Haha)
I like how my point about people being dismissive was proven exactly in my own post lmao. It’s weird that someone who reads a series like SNK is so glib. Yes, let’s just read this angsty, tragic manga that was clearly meant to elicit strong emotional reactions and go tell other people to just chill when they have a strong, emotional reaction.
I understand it might be because it’s not their favourite character so they don’t see what’s the big hoo-ha about, but mostly I think it’s because all this questioning and visceral reactions is making them uncomfortable.
Honestly, I actually would have preferred a heated but thoughtful reaction/debate (or even outright rage).
Anyway, thank you for the follow! Let’s be salty but chill together. 😎
