3. What current rp trend do you hate?

the be honest meme.   aka things you lowkey want to talk about but don’t because you don’t know how to bring it up. send me a number and i’ll tell you the honest truth. either a simple yes or no answer or a detailed response.

alright, i wouldn’t call this one a hate so much as i just dislike it but ... 

the downsizing and oversaturation of roleplay icons. i get that people are getting creative with their psds and stuff, but i’ve seen roleplayers with icons that are 55x55 pixels. do you have any idea how hard it can be to see details on that, especially for people who may have vision issues? if you do super saturate and deep fry your icons, then at least make alternatives where they’re of a decent size and someone can have an idea of what the content of the icon is. like, the smallest that i’m comfortable with an icon being is like... 80x80 and even that’s a bit on the small side for me. 70x70 and below is just. too small for my own personal use but i’ve seen some really good one out there! it’s just when the contrast and all is cranked up super high and the details are very hard to make out when i just kind of go ‘oh boy what is that icon what is the expression of the muse what’s going on’ with it. though i do like the 200x100 rectangular icons! those are usually really nifty to look at and use, sometimes, if you’re of a mind for it.

either make your icons small or deepfry them. please don’t combine the two. it can be headache inducing. and speaking as someone who does have issues figuring things out visually sometimes, they can play hell with my brain. if the graphic is large enough that you can see what’s going on, then i like that a heck of a lot more. i’m not saying we need to go back to the days of using gifs for everything or gif wars, but. . . sometimes i feel like people take it too far. that and 55x55 icons are so damn tiny. are we back on deviantArt? is that what this is?

that, and i have this nagging feeling that if you don’t follow the trend of ‘this is the current ~ * ~ a e s t h e t i c ~ * ~’ in the rpc, then you get overlooked by people who go solely by aesthetic. i’m not saying it’s blatantly obvious but ... given how trends can work... yeah.

I believe such options wouldn’t be the most beneficial. This would require me to have the graphical expertise in order to create brilliant and alluring displays that people can enjoy as they read my words.

While I could request the services of others that would make me feel as what they call ‘a freeloader’, someone only coming around to get fancied things without improving my bond with them.

Bringing these to text post is also a viable and truly enough, stable option. I however simply have some weird fixation with the ask box keeping a contained post, a snippet of clarity for someone to enjoy just for taking the time to send RP items known as ‘memes’ into my inbox.

So for the time being with my odd staples, I’ll simply have to apply chunky text to all of my ask post further more.

ace always kinda lived up to his name. he was like a trump card for this class, while nine was just somewhere in the background. leave it to ace to come up with a good plan for any kind of mission and maybe he did admire it in some way, but he also liked the fearful way of fighting he had adapted to. standing next to ace and his use of cards reminded nine, not sure why he was overseeing the other's training, but... in case something ever happened he'd be able to help ace out.

I had something like this happening to me a few years ago with someone who used the same starter they wrote for me with other two or so blogs of the same muse even though I responded to it and honestly it's like a kick in the gut. I'm still genuinely surprised that dupes of a same muse can be treated like that.

      That’s exactly what I said to my friend when we were talking about it last night: “Don’t they get bored???”. Maybe these people get the same enjoyment out of it as one does when you read a favorite book a second, third, eighth time? Lucky them, I guess.

      The same starter thing is the worst-- I’ve been on the other side, was given a ‘used starter’ before. Was offended, but probably not as offended as I would be in your shoes there. I can understand wanting to recycle a starter that isn’t replied to for later alteration and use but... One that is replied to? To multiple people? That’s just.. either fishing for a certain response or just plain below the effort threshold.
