[ TAKEOFFPHILIPPINES.com ] Are you a typical millennial and yuppies who would want to spend their Friday night for some chillin’ with grub and booze til’ you drop?
Young Entrepreneur Jazelle Carandang, the owner of Serbesa MNL, conceptualized the latest pop-up gastropub in Metropolis, They serve a Global Street Food Cuisines, Local Craft Beers, and Homemade Cocktails. They can be seen on some of the night market and food events around Metro Manila. Perfect for those people who love to try new restaurant/bar concept with your friends and workmates after a busy week.
Street Ahead at The Red Light (Makati)
Decided to push through on her guts, Her idea on how people will look after her products had come up with a pop-up bar concept wherein their set-up would usually temporary which operates on different event places. Through the help of Social Media, such as Blogosphere, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, you can follow the latest stop and food events of the restaurant/bar in your nearby places. You can also make online reservations with them if you want to.
“ I want them to notice our product and to seek for it often since it is not usually available in the market.” she said.
Jazelle shows her first ever, event, At The Red Light in the street of Poblacion in Makati, Street Ahead is a 2-night (Friday and Saturday; 6:00 PM - onwards) Global Street Food Cuisine and Cocktails pop-up.
What I love the most in her Pop-Up Gastropub, they offer a variation of grubs and booze that I’m sure you will enjoy because of their affordable price.
Serving us today are some of the excellent grubs that Serbesa MNL offers; Sizzling Heart Attack (Php 190.00) has a Hungarian and Italian sausage with chimichurri sauce (often used for grilled meat) and raita, Beef Kofte Wrap (Php 190.00) has a Mediterranean spiced beef, roasted eggplant and verduras (edible green plants) wrap, Pollo and Gambas Tostadas (Php 200.00) is consist of chicken skin, gambas, pico de gallo and jalapeño aioli and Squash and Jalapeño Poppers (Php 150.00) consist of Squash Blossom, Mozzarella Cream Cheese, and a slice of Jalapeño.
Their refreshing booze and cocktails perfectly fits well from the grubs; Pedro Colada (Php 180.00) is a mix of the well-known local Pedro endless Summer beer, infused white rum, pineapple, and coconut, Moscojito (Php 180.00) has a Stanford & Shaw Ginger Ale, infused white rum, cilantro, and Kamias, Orchard and Bees (Php 180.00) is a mix of whiskey, pear, honey, apple, calamansi and parsley. You can try also the Pedro Procrastination Pale Ale (on tap, glass) and Stanford & Shaw Ginger Ale (Big Bottle) which is my favorite on their menu.
Overall, Serbesa MNL showcases a great way to enjoy a pop-up restaurant that has an eye for excellent food and beverages. Surely this concept store will go a long way. Hopefully, in the years to come, they will sooner establish their own brick and mortar restaurant.
Taking in consideration that their bar concept was a Pop-Up Retail
