one misstep and you’re done. the battlefield on war is cruel and ruthless, so there can’t be a chance for the enemy to strike the fatal blow. and yet, she knows that the affairs of others shouldn’t concern her.

she wonders if it’s okay for her to meddle into their lives, as if she could ever be seen as an equal and be treated as such. but she does so anyway, because she’s been alone for far too long and making friends couldn’t be hard, right ?

lips unfurl to show pearly whites, as her hands curled around the end of her bow. the pads of her fingers running along the string, plucking it as she sat and let chocolate hues watch the red head train. it was getting harder and harder to suppress her louder side. she would have daily, if now hourly outbursts.

When given a questioning stare, the man lets out a sigh.

His eyes obscured by the mask, he lets the rest of the sentence fall away into silence, carrying its implications on the wind. There are not many he would trust, and yet he does trust her.
