'CSI Vegas' star Paula Newsome previews abducted Maxine's dilemma, cliffhangers unplanned series finale ends with.
Am I broken? Yes.
Am I disappointed? Hell yes.
Do I want to have some words with CBS? Very much so.
But, am I surprised? Absolutely not. I guess we were all expecting to be left on a cliffhanger.

CSI: Vegas
Love the characters in the show and I really hope we keep seeing them
I love Max, Allie and Folsom
But don’t get me wrong, we need to keep seeing more of certain characters
Like:
Penny Gill
Need more of Nora Chase, even it’s just another episode
Also the new coroners
Sonya and Jack are such a great addition
I hope we getting more of Beau
And Chris
Also Serena Chavez
Even if Folsom and her break up, I just want to keep seeing her especially the bonds she’s developed.
CSI: Vegas Season 2
I am on board with this.
It’s definitely CSI:TNG, with cameos from CSI:TOS, but the new team is settling in. Funnily enough, for all I empathize with high-strung, hyper-achieving, oh-no-I-did-an-awkward Allie Rajan, I found that Det. Chavez was my standout character. I get why she and Folsom like each other. He lives deep in his head, and she doesn’t waste a moment on getting to the point. But I have a hunch she will not have any time for the Folsom/Allie pining routine, and will wave Folsom cheerily goodbye and tell him to sort out his shit. Which is fine with me as long as she keeps turning up on screen. If she’s the new Brass Junior, I’m down with that.
Catherine and Maxine are wonderful together. It was an actual rush watching them lope up to a scene together and start working the case without any preamble, like the pros they are. The Huang/Eclipse storyline looks to be an interesting long arc to follow, with reach-backs to the original series as well as Cat’s newer role as a mentor to young forensics students.
Penny is charming and reminds me of a few students in my lab. I wonder if Max was reading her clearly, though - I don’t think Penny was saying she was embarrassed by the BDSM scenario, per se, but by her sense of being out of step with her own generation because she did understand it, in theory, and just wasn’t into it. As if she thought she was supposed to be at least intrigued. I don’t think it was simply that she’s a younger CSI with less exposure. She certainly understood Max’ comments about why some people found it useful and necessary - she herself just didn’t feel a pull.
Chris makes me want to sit him down and give him a talking to about professionalism and grown-up office culture.
I like Beau. What else is there to say?
And the nods to Sara and Grissom were delightful.

The unplanned 'CSI Vegas' series finale edited out one killer cliffhanger -- get details
According to TVLine ; in the last scene of the unexpected finale, there was a hint of the big arc of season 4 if it had been renewed, but that scene was edited out. The scene teased ‘a new killer who preys on the unhoused with a hand scythe/sickle…’
So there actually was a cliffhanger, but it wasn’t about a character. It was about a whole new arc. I think we all expected the finale to leave us with a cliffhanger, and we were right.

Paula Newsome gave an interview to TV Insider. She talked about the finale, Max's relationship with Josh, Josh’s possible romance with Allie, how Max would take it and playing Max again. Here are some excerpts of the interview.👇🏻
-> On her reaction to the unexpected cancellation:
First of all, it was a surprise. I’m not going to lie. We had such amazing ratings and people were really in love with the show. Business is what business is sometimes, and sometimes, the ball doesn’t bounce your way.
-> On Max and Josh’s relationship:
Trust is a weird word. He did some stuff to the man who was responsible for his mother’s death, right? That’s a lot. We are used to investigating those people. So yeah, trust was a big part of it. Not knowing whether he’s going to go off again. It’s like that family member that you love, but that you’ve got stuff that comes up with him.
-> On how Max would take Josh and Allie’s relationship:
She wouldn’t like it. [Laughs] I mean, truly, how do you do that? You know what I’m saying? They always talk about a lawyer who represents himself has a dummy for a client. So how do you separate your heart and your head? But that’s just more grease for the mill in the land of CSI: Vegas.
-> On whether she’d like to play Max again:
Hell yeah. I love this woman and it’s not gone yet. Gotta hold out hope. But I would return back to Max anytime.

CSI: Vegas star Mandeep Dhillon speaks with CBR about Allie Rajan's evolution in Season 3 - and Allie and Josh Folsom's potential romance.
Mandeep Dhillon gave an interview to CBR. She talked about Allie’s character development and her potential romance with Josh. Here are some excerpts of the interview.👇🏻
-> On her thoughts about Allie’s promotion:
It was really fun. I mean, I loved seeing a different side of the character, and having to step into that role, I think it really suited her. I think that she was always made to step up and do that role.
-> On Season 3, Episode 4:
Out of all the episodes so far, that was my favorite, because I was able to really go there. Being by myself, I didn't mind. What was quite nice was, because [Allie] is just down in a basement by herself and there's not so much science or having to be expositional, I was able to really get into her mind and into that space.
The actor who they hired to play the cannibal was amazing, so we had so much fun being able to play off each other. But what was really fun as well was speaking to the director [Stephanie Marquardt], and her allowing me to choose where I wanted to be or what did I want to do. Being able to collaborate with her to say, "I think that she'd be sitting here," or "I think that she'd be there," or "I think this is where she'd be at right now." It was really a fun, collaborative experience.
-> On the relationship between Allie and Josh:
It did change a bit. I think when Allie gets promoted, it's tricky for her with Josh. Obviously, they've got that great bond and they're really good friends, and she wants him to do well in life. But she's very aware that she is his boss now, so the power dynamic sort of shifts a little bit. It's completely different to how we ended Season 2 -- but beneath it all, she's got his back and she'll always have his back.
I know what we filmed for Episode 10, but I also don't know what's made the edit... There's one scene that I think the fans will be a little bit satisfied with if they ship them, but I also don't know if they would've kept that in or not. Me and Matt [Lauria], on the day, were just improvising this little scene between us, which was quite fun.
If the scene she's talking about isn't the one where Allie rests her hand on Josh's shoulder and they're lost in each other's gaze and Serena sees them, you know what it means. We were deprived of a good Ransom scene. Whatever it was, we The Ransom Nation deserved that scene.

CSI: Vegas scored its 2nd highest rating with its unexpected finale.

CBS, which attributed the show's cancellation to low ratings and to make room for new productions, has debunked its own thesis. The show's ratings had been steadily increasing over the last few weeks and peaked in the finale, although it was unplanned and there were scenes that were edited out.
We proved to CBS that they made a big mistake, but I don't know if they'll wise up.
