Made a kind of armor reference for Serena. Her pendant and sleep poison glove. The face mask is to filter out the nightshade poison that her minigun bullets are covered in. I am not really good at thinking up armor or anything but I tried

When was the moment both Gabe and Hog/Rat realize they had fallen in love with their respective ladies? I love both of your OCs so much I'm such a sucker for anything related to them and your writing is amazing!!!

Serena

The two of them had become thick as thieves over the last few months. They shared jokes and meals, talked about how similar or different Los Angeles was to Baltimore. They talked about family, the new and the old and shared concerns and secrets. Even the war came up occasionally, stories about what they had done, what they had seen, both drawing comfort from the others shared experiences and the fact that their words weren’t said to placate the other. Their attraction was mutual, a physical relationship started but solidified when they realized that they both liked one another for way more than that. But Gabe didn’t realize how much he felt for her until he thought he almost lost her.

Serena and Gabe both still went on missions but Serena could be gone for weeks and sometimes months at a time if she had to go into deep cover. She was on a mission to infiltrate one of the gangs plaguing New York, tasked with finding out their suppliers, their plans and their targets. During one of her check ins she sent a message stating she /may/ have been compromised but not to send people in yet, that she could handle it. Now Gabe respects this but he can’t tap down on the worry that is growing in his belly. It only gets worst when she misses her next check in...and the one after that. So he is collectively losing his shit because this woman that he had grown to care for had gone missing. 

Serena ends up sending off a message for extraction almost two weeks after she had gone missing and Gabe was on that carrier to pick her up bristling with anger/worry/concern/confusion for what he’s feeling. When she is finally picked up she is banged up, but she has the information, Gabe rushing out of the ship and stopping just short of hugging her. Their first words to one another then were less than romantic, but filled with the same mirth they had come to use with one another.

“Rini what the fuck?”

“Didja miss me soldier boy?”

And he did. And he was scared shitless and he was worried and he trusted her and loved her and never wanted to go through that again. It took him a few more weeks to say it, he broke first and she just sighed and asked him why he took so damn long.

Ava

The Outback, and Australia as a whole kind of, is not a place where one expects trust. After the Omnium explosion it was survival of the fittest, morals ignored and thrown to the side in the pursuit of just staying alive another night. Roadhog and Jamison had learned that trusting people would only lead to death so even if someone made you feel safe or happy or cared for, you couldn’t trust it. Until this tiny little woman wormed their way into both of their lives. Ava and Mako met first, she saving his bike (one point to trust) and him saving her only to get injured and taken care of by her (another point of trust). She didn’t poison his food, she didn’t slit his throat and take the money that he had in is pack, she just...cared for him until he was good enough to leave on his own and resupply on hogdrogen. He confused and intrigued him, reminded him of the times before the explosions where people could be good just for the sake of being good. He asked her to come with him because he didn’t want to leave this little anomaly behind, especially if he thought that she would get hurt. So he ‘hires’ her as his ‘personal mechanic’. 

She actually only managed to further prove her worth to him, fixing his bike and gun and hook and mask as needed. She even had first aid kits and would stitch him up or create salves from plants.  She was actually pretty handy at making whatever food they scounged up good and she still hadn’t slit his throat as he slept (or when he pretended to be sleeping just to make sure). He soon found himself completely smitten, something that he hid to the best of his abilities because he still didn’t believe he deserved happiness or her especially after she tells him how the omnium explosion effected her. When he told her his hand in the explosion, while passive at best he expected her to leave. She didn’t, she understood and wasn’t even mad.That is when he fell head over heels for her. 

It’s almost ten years until they meet Jamie, and end up getting hired by the fidgety, energetic man. He offers half his treasure to Mako for his protection and Ava and him come as a package deal so they find themselves bouncing all around the Outback just to keep the demolitionist safe. Junkrat began to accompany Roadhog on bounty hunting expeditions while Ava stayed within one of the safe houses. Mako and her had a number of safe houses over the year, each of them booby trapped to hell and back so no one would take them. The two of you admitted to one another that the little Rat was growing on you; he was open and spontaneous and was oddly affectionate to them because they were the ‘best friends a Junker could ask for’. He was quirky and sweet in his own way.Buuuut... After one mission, Mako drags Junkrat back blown to all hell, right arm and leg mangled beyond all repair or recognition. Junkrat is delirious and feverish and sickly and his leg and arm are beginning to get infected. The two of them amputated his limb and stemmed the flow of blood and he ended up with Mako’s mask forced over his face. For days Mako and Ava traded off on slowly forcing him to drink and eat mash that Ava had cooked up and when he came to, still feverish he talked about angels and how much he loved them and how they were just the tits. Sure he was half delirious with fever and infection and recovering from losing two of his limbs but he was in love and he knew it

Hey!! I saw your post about your OC's and I just wanted to say that Serena and Ava are beautiful names!! I was wondering if you could describe what they look like? I would be interested to know. I hope you feel better sweetheart, I appreciate everything you do!!

Serena

Serena has warm sepia skin with a rich red undertone and is of average height, standing at 5′6″.She has milk chocolate brown downturned eyes and a button nose, thick lips all on a square shaped face. She has a curvy, athletic frame; round hips and ass, thick, muscular thighs and toned calves. Her upper body is as impressive as her lower, muscular arms and a toned back and stomach. She has full-bodied, thick black hair that falls to her chin, and more often than not, the ends are dyed whatever color is her pick of the moment. She is usually seen with Reyes’ beanie on her head because she has stolen it for the umpteenth time. Her fashion sense is jokingly called new goth, black cargo pants or leggings with tighter, fashionable tops or dark colored hoodies (often stolen from Reyes). She does have a good fashion sense, but prefers comfortable when she returns from the field. 

Ava

Ava has warm, golden tan skin with a slightly yellow undertone and she is covered from head to toe in copper colored freckles. She stands at a meager 5′1, radiation completely stunting her growth upwards as a kid, her body tiny, smaller chested and waifish. The longer she spends in regular society after joining the Junkers, the more her body begins to fill out, a small but perky rear and slightly fuller and softer all over. She has thick and fluffy curly-wavy long hair that falls to her rear, her auburn hair full of natural lighter brown and dirty blonde highlights. Her eyes are large and hazel, her nose small and round with full lips. She has a gap in her two front teeth that she never plans on getting corrected.  She has absolutely no fashion sense and usually prefers to wear overalls, combat boots and a sports bra. When finally out of Oz she loves anything brightly colored or fun patterned and she pulls together outfits that make absolutely no sense.

Serena

Fave hot day treat: Water ice/Italian Ice! She loooves the stuff, her fave thing to do is mix green apple, blue raspberry, cherry and a bunch of marshmallow topping

Favorite form of affection: Serena love love loves hugs and cuddles. She doesn’t care where they are she will literally just wrap her arms around Gabe or move into his space and lean back into him and forcibly wrap his arms around her. Whenever this happens, Gabe barely acts like anything different is happening and just keeps rolling. Honestly, who is going to call out their scary ass commander and his second in command? Plus this isn’t the military and there’s nothing against fraternization

Guilty pleasure: Eating whipped cream straight from the can and her intense love of all things lisa frank. Reyes has jokingly called her a fake goth for that and she calls him out for his intense childhood love of One Direction

Affection: Serena is constantly affectionate. She is kisses on the cheek if she’s walking by Gabe or cuddle and nuzzles while just relaxing in the lounge. She never really leave any question on how in love she is with him. Plus they both know when the other is having a hard day. So she will worm her way into his arms no matter what or force him to take at least a five minute break.

Wake up style: Groggy, she constantly calls Gabe some military demon because hewakes up bright and early and is actually awake early in the mornings. It takes at least two cups of strong coffee filled with cream and sugar to get her out of bed

Ava

Fave hot day treat: So pre-explosion they were any ice cream bars although she particularly loved the mini honeycomb crunch or golden gaytime bar. Post explosion it was just water. like nothing is more refreshing than water on a sweltering hot day. After leaving oz it was dippin dots. They’re so colorful and tiny and yummy

Favorite form of affection: She loves when they pick her up and hug her because she’s a foot shorter than Jamie and two feet shorter than Mako. When they lift her up to their height so she can kiss them or just place her on his back, she is just so happy

Guilty pleasure: In every country that they go to, in every hotel that they stay in, Ava orders room service and loves to relaxing in the hot tub or bath tub filled with bubbles and acting like those hoity toity rich folk she remembers seeing on TV as a kid. Now Jamie and Mako knows she does this but she still feels shy about it because it’s kind of ridiculous….but they join her sometimes

Affection: Ava shows it in taking care of both of her guys; healing them, fixing their weapons, cooking them meals and giving them cover stories. She is very physically affectionate, they all are, but Jamie and Mako say they can ‘taste’ and feel her love whenever she does these types of things for them

Wake Up Style: All of the Junkers are light sleepers but that does not mean they are morning people. They are all groggy, sleepy people in the morning and absolutely abhor waking up before noon. Ava however is always up first because she wants to fix breakfast

Serena is very laid back and very chill, laid back kind of character. She’s the cool mom friend who is constantly checking in on her agents, friends and family to make sure everything is alright. She is a worrier but she tries not to be overbearing about her concerns, especially in Overwatch’s line of business.She is sarcastic and playful, poking fun at people but never in a malicious manner unless they’ve drawn her wrath. She does have a quick wit and a biting tongue so her and Gabe are able to bounce insults and banter back and forth effortlessly. Her ability to adapt is what made her the head of infiltration in Blackwatch, she is able to adapt and change her behavior depending upon the situation and does so in an almost effortless manner. Outside of work however, she is the life of the party. She was known back when Overwatch was up for throwing impromptu dance parties in the recreation room or lounges and dragging everyone into them

I guess she would fall into Offense, she’s a spy whose job is to sneak in and get out. 

Ava is a jittery, anxious ball of affection and smiles. She is fairly shy when meeting new people, she’s quiet and fidgety and avoids eye contact but is fairly polite (well as polite as a girl orphaned at the age of 14 can be). Once she is more comfortable with people though she is a non-stop talking, bubbly fountain of knowledge. She loves to learn to facts and is constantly taking things apart and putting them back together. She is quick to smile and tries to stay positive despite the overwhelming buzzing anxiety in her brain and her difficulties staying focused. She is normally very passive, she hates fighting but she’s hard as nails if you insult her boys, while she may be a stuttering mess she will put you in her place for daring to think that way about them. She’s fairly relaxed if not constantly freaking out when the boys are on a mission because she doesn’t want them to go to jail/hurt/die. 

She does not fight. She’s a repairwoman and if she had a class it would end up being defense like Torb
