the vietnam television broadcaster uses so many AI generated pics in their news channels lately and its so irritating, like is it too hard to take your own pictures or make your own illustrations??? hell, is it too hard to find some copyright free images on google??

i think they criticized generative AI like once and the next few days are just a bunch of news reports on how amazing and innovative AI is and then add a bunch of AI generative slop on the side as well 😒😒

in the future they probably won't stop at AI generated illustrations, they'll probably generate the scripts and the reporters and the videos and it'll all be a bunch of sloppy bullshit, who knows if the information they provide are even reliable because of their AI usage??

i'm sure it's not just the news channels in my country and I think that shows how awful the world has become

i used to like watching the news now i'm just pissed
