The Hierophant: What is one rule or law your muse would never break?

When itcomes to Drakath’s development, I believe that he did draw the line a bit farup in the early stages of Book 1 but then the line went farther and farther asit progressed. To the point where he decided to go Dragon and destroy everythingin what seemed like a desperate attempt in fact. Though, it may have been dueto the influence of the Doom Sword.

That beingsaid, Drakath will do next to anything to further his goals. Have Xan burn downa town and everyone in it out of mainly pettiness, betray humanity to theShadowscythe for a chance at greater power, murder; an easy one. But I do thinkthat there is a degree of separation he puts in between himself and somecrimes. He’s a villain and he can and will enjoy killing people like the Heroif given the chance. At the same time, he likes to have other people do it. Sothis can become a bit complicated. I don’t think he could stomach killing a kidhimself. But if they had to kick thebucket, he’ll try to send an assassin. That’s as far as morality and personalrules go; the unspoken ones people follow without needing to be told. As foractual written laws? He thinks he’s the law. It’s “his land” after all.

Phoenix slouched a little lower in her chair and absentmindedly ran a finger through the candle on the table in front of her. After a few seconds of silence, she chuckled and her eyes flicked up to look at Serenity. “Yeah,” she said, “but I sure used t’ think there were.”

Nyx wasn’t sure what she was expecting. Her search was almost futile. Almost being the keyword. Years searching for a way to restore her body to normal had turned up little but it wasn’t as if there was no reason not to keep going. There were items out there that would be able to break the curse and allow her to age. Nyx wasn’t going to give up on finding them or finding another way.

It was tiring being out among people. The town was too busy, too loud and crowded for the woman. Too many people had stopped her as she travelled, asking why a young girl was travelling along. She shut them all down. She was no child lost and wandering. She had a purpose here. Nyx was not going to pretend to be anything than what she was. The surprise or disbelief on faces would not change that.

Still, the hours were growing later and she should rest. She entered an inn and looked around, calling out, “Is anyone here?”
