this spell is inspired by moon crystal power, an attack used by sailor moon which harnesses the power of the silver crystal to heal and defeat enemies, namely in her final battle with the wiseman during the black moon arc.

instructions

on the night of the full moon, find a spot where you can see it and get comfortable for a bit

grab your crystal and set it in front of you or hold onto it

find the moon in the sky, close your eyes, and imagine a silver string tethering the crystal to the moon

now, imagine lunar energy traveling down the line and filling the crystal - do this for as long as you would like

when finished, anoint the crystal with moon water and consider the spell complete - close up shop however you want

use this crystal to charge other objects or to power lunar spells

moon tiara stardust 🌙

moon tiara stardust is one of sailor moon's earlier attacks in which she throws her tiara to scatter stardust over brainwashed people in order to release them from an enemy's control.

this spell is designed to cleanse the mind of negative thoughts, feelings, and energy, especially those caused by others; and to promote positive thoughts and mental clarity.

items & ingredients:

plastic headband

sea salt [base, charging]

moon water [cleansing, lunar energy]

rosemary [mental clarity]

lemon zest [positivity, cleansing, healing, lunar energy]

container

instructions:

create an herb bath containing sea salt, rosemary, and lemon zest in a container wide enough to place the headband in

hold the headband in your hands and meditate on your intent [to cleanse and clear the mind of negative thoughts and invite positive thoughts and clarity instead]

place the headband in the herb bath and leave overnight in the light of the waning or new moon

retrieve before daylight

before each use, anoint the headband with moon water - wear for however long you'd like

recharge as needed

okay so we have a tiny quasi-moon (2025 PN7) in our presence for the next several years, except it doesn't orbit the earth, it orbits the sun with the earth.

our moon revolves around earth - neo queen serenity and king endymion.

the quasi-moon revolving around the sun - chibiusa and helios.

What source(s) do you draw from? If you have more than one source, how do you blend them? Or, how do you keep them separate?

I draw from The Legend of Zelda and Sailor Moon.

I blend them together, since they generally serve different, but arguably the same, purposes. 

I view the triforce as the pinnacle of personal balance and essentially the goal - if you have power, wisdom, and courage then you can achieve anything. From that I revere the Goddesses, though I’m not sure if I’d call it outright worship or whatever. I also work with Link on a mentor-student basis and consider Zelda a friend.

But that’s not much of a philosophy and is also somewhat vague since there is no distinction of good or evil, so I also follow the Serentian codes. Essentially I take the vagueness of the triforce and add “you must be kind” on top of it. I generally view the Scouts as Saint figures but I’m, again, sot sure if I worship them or not.

Essentially they both focus on self-improvement, but Serenitism tells me to be kind while becoming stronger and Hyrulian paganism tells me how to become stronger.

It’s complicated but this is the simplest version.

So I'm not sure yet if I'm going to just use these as little boosts to focus my intent or as a sort of divination widget, but I had a bunch of spare plastic "gems" leftover from a craft project that are now rune-ified. I used a gold sharpie to inscribe the back of each one with it's symbol, and then mixed corresponding colors of acrylic paint to seal them with. There are 17 altogether: 10 for the original Sailor Senshi planetary bodies, plus earth for tux/chibs 4 more for the largest objects in the asteroid belt since Pluto and Ceres share rank as planetoids and I like using the quartet in my astrology anyhow. 3 for Jungian dream aspects with a personal magical girl twist; alchemical arsenic on black, star/sol symbol on white, and simplified Utena rose crest on "light red" I'm not sure these will cover all aspects of every situation, but I figure it's a good start for broad strokes and I feel way more comfortable using pop magic to start casting than Nordic runes. Kinda chaotic Serenitism, in a way.
