in regards to post 130007604427: At the end of DA2, Bodhan tells Hawke that he and Sandal are moving to Orlais at the behest of Empress Celene, who offered them employment. I believe Celene was using Morrigan and Sandal's arcane knowledge to investigate the eluvians (specifically, the one in the Winter Palace). It would explain how he got to the Vir Dirthara. However, I have no clue who speared the guy dead next to his journal. I fear the power Sandal may possess...

Oh, I know how Sandal got to Orlais, I was actually really hoping to meet up with our old friends Bodhan and Sandal and was a little sad we didn’t.
That said, it’s still a bit strange that he got into the Eluvian and to the Vir Dirthara. That mirror should not have been activated and no one knew it is was there??? Otherwise, we wouldn’t have even needed to go to the Arbor Wilds. Plus no one knew the passcode to it, it was only when Solas opened it and let the Qunari warn the Inquisitor that it was activated. I suppose he could have gotten through Morrigan’s eluvian...though you think she would have noticed that and done something about it?
I don’t, I think there is a lot more going on there than he just walked through an Eluvian in the Winter Palace or the Empress’ Palace in Val Royeaux. Especially after the Darkspawn Hordes he defeated in DAO and DA2, the frozen Ogre in DA2, and his grand prophecy in DA2.
