Retired Army staff sergeant Joey Jones lost both of his legs when an IED exploded in Afghanistan. He has said that sometimes people will ask him how he stays so positive about life even though he doesn’t have his legs. Sometimes he’ll just shake his head and wonder how they can be so negative about life even though they have both of their legs. We’ve probably all known a Debbie downer or someone like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. Nothing is ever good, there is no hope, everything is bad, negativity is a constant companion. The author Charles Swindoll said that what happens to us makes up 10% of our life but how we react to those things that happen to us is 90% of our life. We are constantly faced with a choice of how we’ll react to things. We are typically about as joyful or sad as we want to be. Being positive doesn’t mean that we ignore challenges or problems but rather that we don’t let them rule our life and dictate our mood. I encourage you to see today’s challenges as opportunities and instead of fixating on problems, focus on solutions. . . . #PositiveLeadership #WinnieThePooh #DebbieDowner #JoeyJones #SergeantJoeyJones #RetiredArmy #StaffSergeant #Eeyore #StayEncouraged #StayPositive #SuccessisAChoice #AvoidNegativity #CharlesSwindoll #JohnnyJoeyJones https://www.instagram.com/p/Cc78O86uCNZ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
