So ive finished the first book in a series im coming up with and an plotting out the second book. Im afraid that it might be significantly longer than the first book but of course wont know by how much until its written. Is it something to worry about if the sequel is a lot longer than the first book?

Personally, I don’t think it’s an issue. I’m pretty sure the second book in ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ is longer than the first, and the third and fifth are definitely longer! And in the Harry Potter series, all the other books are longer than the first one. As long as it still flows, and doesn’t contradict the first book, you should be fine

Now, on to Scrivener! 

I have maps and graphics,

notes regarding the series as a whole, (look at how long the list of categories in the left-hand column is)

and stuff I've dumped there from other places

that needs to be sorted.

This is getting exhausting, so just two more:

a folder full of word documents and

a list of things I need to do.

Don't tell me I'm putting too much thought into this I already know.
