It's just so nice!
What were the character's topics they wanted to talk about in that last segment? Did they say what it was in the live stream?
Here is the podcast version of the most recent Live at the Table--it's a wild one! And hey, guess what, we're going to be back tonight (probably around 7PM ET) for yet another step on the Road! (We're nearly there, we swear. Just a few more games😅)

JayEmBosch @JayEmBosch, quote retweeting this Friends at the Table tweet:
Thanks for featuring my game! I would have plugged this if I knew it was happening. Hope everyone's columnists faded into obscurity (as they should) and the reactionary stink didn't stick to you.

So in the middle of all the sci fi/fantasy/ murder mystery books I TRY to read at least one serious thing, you know, a book where I actually learn something. Usually it’s a biography or a historical something and for for some reason this time I picked “An Army at Dawn’ about the WWII invasion of Northern Africa. I thought it would be dry, but scattered inside the ‘historical facts are funny/interesting/not at all dry things like General Patton practising his ‘scowl’ in the mirror every morning,
Then was story of the S.S. Contessa....a British ship commandeered by the US Military to carry ‘a thousand tons of bombs, depth charges, and high octane aviation fuel’ which according to the author, caused the crew to jump ship, (with the exception of the captain) so they recruited sailors from the local jail. THAT should be a movie.
There was a ‘spy ring’ in Algiers called the ‘12 Apostles’ but they weren’t professional spies. It seems they were a group of people who just happened to be there. One was a Coca-Cola salesman, one was a barfly and another said “I don’t know how to pry open a desk drawer’. THAT should be a movie.
British and American troops were together. The Americans didn’t like the British food and the Brits didn’t like that the Americans didn’t issue rum. The British had to temporarily wear American flag patches but they didn’t mind. “I’ll wear a bloody Chinese flag if it’ll help’.
My favorite so far was of a tanker that ran aground on a beach. An American officer yelled out what he thought would be an inspirational rallying cry...“Men, this is what we’ve been waiting for! Let’s have it!” He stepped off the side of his craft only to sink the mud and have his troops unceremoniously fish him back onto the boat.
I know, war’s not funny, but these are things that you don’t see in the movies. I’m actually looking forward to reading more of this.
Firstly, can you tell us a little bit about yourself? My name is Bryan C. Laesch, and I am a writer from Metro Detroit, Michigan. I am the author of Remnan
If you could have been the original author of any book, what would it have been and why?
