Hi, I hope it’s okay to ask this, but I was wondering if there’s a difference between the version of Somewhere In Time on AFF vs FFN?

Hi, sure! I ... haven’t reread the story in a while, so I don’t really remember, but I *think* there are slight differences between the two. I think the bloodier scenes in most, if not all, of my stories are a bit tamer in the FFN version, in comparison to the AFF and AO3 versions. But I really can’t say for sure about Somewhere in Time though, sorry =/.

“how long has this been going on?” - Tomione :)

“About an hour” Harry muttered to Draco,  shifting Pansy in his lap so she could feel how much he wanted to leave.

“And they haven’t noticed that we’ve noticed?”

“Nope” Pansy muttered, smirking at Harry who was now glaring at her, “though I don’t expect anything less from the two of them.” She turned to look at Draco, one impeccably arched eyebrow already raised, “I floo’ed into her apartment the other day and caught them snogging on her sofa. They didn’t even notice my arrival or my leaving Draco” she sniffed, feigning annoyance, though her best friend could tell she was fronting.

She’d wanted them to get together for months.

“Do you think it’s serious?” Draco asked, darting a glance to the couple in question, who now had their heads so close together, they might as well have been snogging.

Harry snorted, “he brewed amortentia at work a month ago. I’d say so.”

“Hmmm” Pansy agreed, smiling at Astoria who’d finally joined them and settled into Draco’s lap.

“Oh! Are we talking about that?” The brunette smirked, jerking her head in Tom and Hermione’s direction.

“Merlin” a voice croaked from behind them and the four friends turned to see Blaise staring at the pair of them, “when did that happen?”

“OI! LOVEBIRDS!” a voice shouted from beside him, Ginny. “get a fucking room” she smirked.

Their heads shot up, their eyes wide in surprise and the group laughed at Hermione’s blush and Tom’s glare, before they dissapeared from the party with a loud crack.

Somewhere in Time got runner up in Time Lord Award in the Enchanted Awards 2019. Huge, huge thanks to the person who’d nominated it and to those who’d voted for it. I’m absolutely amazed by this and humbled by the attention and love people give and had given this story. Love you all!

I guess you must have missed “Romance” genre that I’ve added for the story and that the story was listed under the Tom Marvolo Riddle/Hermione Granger section.

I’ve already stated in the first A/N that my Toms are not going to be nice. If we’re going to talk about “not treating each other nicely”, Hermione wasn’t exactly kind to Tom either (ex. kneeing him in the groin; laughing when a curse intended for her landed on him instead; etc.).

Being a “strong” witch doesn’t mean she has to act all stoic all the time. She can still blush when she’s around the person she fancies. In regards to acting irrationally, I will have to politely disagree. If she were, as you said “acting irrationally” she wouldn’t have been able to lie to Tom so many times without him figuring it out.

Not to mention, I’m always curious, why does everyone assume that you can actually choose the person you fall in love with? If that were true, there wouldn’t be a lot less tragedies in the world ...

Nonetheless, thanks for reading and reviewing.

ETA: And are we really going to ignore the times when he actually treated her nicely? And let her get away with things that would’ve earned others Crucios or even the Killing Curse for? Really?

Meh ... she doesn't exactly fawn over Tom, and everything's in her head, so ... it's easier for her to point fingers than to reflect on her thoughts. But then again, she had no problem mocking "Won-won" and "Lav-lav" in Book 6 (if I remember correctly), so ... old habits, I guess? LOL!
