Meh ... she doesn't exactly fawn over Tom, and everything's in her head, so ... it's easier for her to point fingers than to reflect on her thoughts. But then again, she had no problem mocking "Won-won" and "Lav-lav" in Book 6 (if I remember correctly), so ... old habits, I guess? LOL!

Secondly, sorry the rest of the story disappointed you. There are definitely flaws in the story, and in retrospect, I do agree that there are probably parts where Hermione can tone down a bit on admiring Tom's looks. Heck, I reckon I would probably be tempted to rewrite the story if I get down to editing it (which is why I don't have plans to edit it LOL). Thankfully, that's why I added the Romance to the genre ;). However, I respectfully disagree to the assessment that Hermione is Lavender Brown-esque. While she does find Tom handsome, she still retains her intelligence when she deals with him - she manages to hide information from him, despite the fact that she doesn't know Legilimency. She literally kneed him in Chapter 27 in his privates. Despite acknowledging that she had affections towards Tom, she never hesitated in thinking of ways to return to the future.

Hi,

I do agree that what happened to Hannah is awful.  However, I’m not sure how you came to the conclusion that she doesn’t want to change it or kill the DEs. It was precisely why Voldemort warned her, if she so much as touched her wand, he would have her other friends taken there immediately. Hermione is not a rash person. She was warned of the consequences, and it would be completely out of character for her to do something rash while under the threat that others would be placed in the same situation as Hannah.

In regards to how can she still not hate him, I do believe that humans are perfectly capable of loving a person while hating their actions. I do not believe in super-powered Hermione. Therefore, some of her actions will be more emotionally charged than logically. While Hermione is a logical person, as we see in the books, when it comes down to emotions, some of her actions aren’t very well thought over (such as Confounding Cormac McLaggen while he was on a broom just so Ron could get the place of Keeper).

She was never placed under the Imperius Curse. Also, as much as she was shouting it, she never really classified it as rape herself, so ...

Another thing is, I don’t see why it’s OOC, in my opinion. First off, he explains why he doesn’t see it as rape, so I’m not going to reiterate what he’d said in the story. Also, TMR is shown in different scenarios being completely comfortable with using the Unforgivables to get what he wants, including the Imperius, so even if he did use the Imperius in this case (again, he didn’t), why would it be OOC?

Secondly, nowhere in canon does it mention that Tom actually knows what happened between Merope and Tom Riddle Sr. He despises his mother for being weak and dying, not because of the love potion. In fact, (I need to reread canon to confirm it), but I recall Dumbledore mentioning that TMR doesn’t even know about the love potion.

I guess you must have missed “Romance” genre that I’ve added for the story and that the story was listed under the Tom Marvolo Riddle/Hermione Granger section.

I’ve already stated in the first A/N that my Toms are not going to be nice. If we’re going to talk about “not treating each other nicely”, Hermione wasn’t exactly kind to Tom either (ex. kneeing him in the groin; laughing when a curse intended for her landed on him instead; etc.).

Being a “strong” witch doesn’t mean she has to act all stoic all the time. She can still blush when she’s around the person she fancies. In regards to acting irrationally, I will have to politely disagree. If she were, as you said “acting irrationally” she wouldn’t have been able to lie to Tom so many times without him figuring it out.

Not to mention, I’m always curious, why does everyone assume that you can actually choose the person you fall in love with? If that were true, there wouldn’t be a lot less tragedies in the world ...

ETA: And are we really going to ignore the times when he actually treated her nicely? And let her get away with things that would’ve earned others Crucios or even the Killing Curse for? Really?
