speaking of this moment, I wished tubbo and ash talked in character about ash's assassination before cc tubbo's break ; ^;)9 but before the regime's manhunt speedrun they kinda did, would that count as something? we'll see.

I'm so thankful haiper and tubbo did talked about it. haiper is chipped and probably anything tubbo said about betraying ash's trust and doing what the federation wants won't quite cross his mind. normal haiper wouldn't even think twice before running to ash and tell him everything (even if that wouldn't of have worked out for the north) :C

this conversation also shows the deeply care and respect tubbo has for ash. at the beginning it seemed like tubbo was mainly playing around calling ash his supreme leader and lowering himself for ash to shine and be big. but there was always admiration and from both sides, tubbo staying and working for ash's cause and ash offering his protection against the littlest threat. "servant" duo it's just the perfect name for them (I think this was talked about before over here), it's not only from tubbo serving ash but so does ash for him, they're compromised to each other's needs. it's something worth of notice tubbo went out of his nonchalant attitude to a defensive state for ash. <<< I wanted to represent that as him being a little protective dragon jeje 🫶

Tubbo buries himself in create projects to cope with his trauma from the first island. 

I know, I know! I also thought this was pretty obvious already but I think characters on the current island genuinely think q!Tubbo is a naive, aloof, lighthearted guy that just wants to build trains and doesn’t care for lore.

That’s just not true, like, at all. He’s only admitted his unhealthy coping mechanisms to one character (as far as I’m aware). And it wasn’t really a confession, it was more of a self report. When q!Ash lost his daughter and was mourning her he asked Tubbo what he should do, emotionally speaking. 

And you know what Tubbo says? He tells Ash, sorta jokingly, to just burry himself in work until the grief goes away. They both chuckle and brush it off.

But…that’s exactly what Tubbo has been doing this entire time. He barely speaks about his experiences on the first island. And when he does he just completely undersells (is that a word?) the story.

For example: Fred. This is one of the only times he talks about a relationship on the first island, and guess how he phrases it? A fling. He called his relationship with Fred, a fling. Which is insane considering he was a flustered mess around Fred and their medium (?) slowish burn really changed his character. Ash had to find out Tubbo had a daughter through Fit, not even Tubbo himself.

All I’m trying to say is that it’s clear that q!Tubbo is coping with everything that’s happened to him in an unhealthy way, and nobody noticed or stopped him. And that’s just depressing. The worst part out of all of this is the fact that Ash is becoming aware of this and when he sees Tubbo again they’re going to have a Big Talk. And that’s when shit’s gonna get really crazy.
