Still digesting the feast that was Ashswag's stream today omg. Couple of things sticking out to me.
First, that boy cooked and cooked hard. The hauntingly well scripted cutscene of his treatment at the hands of the Feds? The smooth transition from cutscene to gameplay? The fact he made all that in like a day? The acting?! Omfg.
There are some interesting gaps in the narrative that have concerning implications. Cucurucho is definitely there for his initial weeks of torture, but by today he's been transferred to a different facility with these 2 goobers who are not nearly as efficient, and are not in creative. They both get killed during the escape. It raised the question of whether he's being allowed to escape, at least in my mind.
Ash mentions a couple of times that they didn't use the mechanism with the crying obsidian and drip stone properly, implying that they don't know how to set it up. Which has me wondering about whether the experiment that created Ash might be a different section of the Federation to Cucurucho's gang. Or an opposing faction of some kind? Idk, but I'm hella curious.
Ash's family got his back! I'm so glad they pulled together in the end. Just... really hoping Ash is just traumatized and not, like, some kind of sleeper agent after being at the Fed's mercy.
