✔:A plot you would love to play out with your character

Iwould love a thread where a muse just takes Solas by his ear and takes him onan adventure to show him the finer things in life. I had this idea that anInquisitor Lavellan would take him back to her clan, introduce him (of coursethere’d be suspicion) and make him know each and every person important to themin the Inquisitor’s clan. Just make Solas see that they’re people, see that, while they’re suspicious, they’re still family. The thing with this is that itwould be very complicated and hard to even accomplish this, for even if Solasdid begin to see this world in a different light as he is seeing it now, his choice still wouldn’t change. Even if he wishes he didn’t have to end this world,he owes it to the people he hurt in the past to make things right. He’s merelythe catalyst in his eyes, the pin dropping, and the provoker. While Solas is avery passionate person about freedom and all that, he’s a slave to his ownguilt and duty. Solas reminds me of that scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron,where Vision is speaking with the last piece of Ultron:

Ultron: They’redoomed!

The Vision: Yes…but a thing isn’t beautiful because it lasts. It is a privilege to be amongthem.

I just want Solas to see that, and understand it. He already regrets what he has to do now, he doesn’t wantto, but even in the Trespasser DLC he still referred to the ancient elves as ‘hispeople.’Solas: “Would you not do thesame for your people?” (or something like that). He still, in a way, places himself above the elves that exist now, even if he says otherwise from time to time.It’sbecause he can’t accept the change. It’s all too much for him. The Dalish aren’t his people.

☮:Something you’re confident about with your writing

I’mrarely confident about my writing, to be honest. From time to time, I’ll writesomething that I’ll like, but then I’ll read over it the next day and just facepalm myself. I think all writers question how they write, but I’ve always beenvery nervous about it. I suppose what I’m confident about is that I tend to dovery well capturing a character the best I can.
