People in Southern California in general just don’t tip as well as New Yorkers do. It is a sad state of affairs, but it’s one I’ve come to terms with. So my tips at new restaurant haven’t been as spectacular as what I’m used to getting when I worked at Red Lobster back in New York...

But- yesterday! I finally made it over $100! During a lunch shift!

Also I received the actual best ever guest comment from a table last week, like they had to censor the message xD I’m dyyyying~ I can’t post it because it has the restaurant name in it, but it’s like:

holy #### ####. the best experience i’ve ever had at *restaurant.* Peppy without coming off inauthentic. Have her train the other staff. seriously.

Okay so during that mandatory learn-to-use-the-ziosk restaurant meeting on comicon weekend, we earned “ziosk bucks” for answering questions and various other activities. Today we turned in our “money” for prizes and I got salad tongs and DISNEY PRINCESS TEMPORARY TATTOOS

I am THRILLED about this decision!!

Me: Everyone's so nice at this restaurant

Me: Like "oh no, you go first"

Me: "Here, have my tongs when I'm done"

Me: At Red Lobster, you'd get like- stabbed over bread

Other server: Yeah

Other server: I'd stab someone for Red Lobster biscuits
