behold, Soruli and her little sister, Seryla
They're both Force sensitive, despite nobody else in their extended family having any idea what a Jedi is. Soruli was found when she was four, by a Jedi who became her Master. The family reached out to them when Seryla started showing signs of being Force sensitive, but she refused to go anywhere with anyone, and promptly started biting people about it when her parents weren't inclined to listen.
Instead the Jedi stayed in touch remotely, offering advice when the parents reached out to him like hey she's making the silverware float again? He and Soruli occasionally returned home for visits, to make it clear that the path of a Jedi was still open to Seryla if she wished, though their visits were infrequent.
Seryla decided to grow up and be a smuggler instead, because she was great at sensing when a job would go wrong and sweet-talking her way out of the resulting trouble. And if talking didn't work, well, she was a great shot. Best of both worlds!
Soruli is vaguely embarrassed by her little sister's Crime Life™ until Order 66 happens and suddenly the black sheep of the family is the only one who knows how to avoid the law (and the clones enforcing it). They have a tearful departure from their family and cut contact fully, so their parents have no idea where they are and therefore won't be targeted by anyone looking for information.
The ensuing road trip is definitely... not what either of them would have chosen, if they could have. But neither of them can leave each other behind so might as well pack the good snacks!
