1/100 Days of Productivity~

So I'm gonna try out the 100 productivity challenge to stay active!

Although I didn't get a whole lot done in other classes, I've done all my solar system review! I have a unit test in my earth and space science class tomorrow so I've been studying for it all night rip :(

It isn't the most exciting class but it isn't super challenging and it bumps my average up so thats good! Hope everyone else had a good day :)

Also you can thank my 4 year old phone for the amazing pic quality lol. I'm gonna see if I can use my camera to get better pics!

Earth Materials: Rock Cycle

Igneous rocks become metamorphic through heat and pressure and become sedimentary through erosion, pressure and cementation. Metamorphic rocks become igneous when heated to become magma and then cool, and become sedimentary through erosion, pressure and cementation. Sedimentary rocks become metamorphic with heat and pressure, or can become other sedimentary rocks through erosion, pressure and cementation.

Planetary Science: The Planets

Our solar system contains 4 inner planets and 4 outer planets (and also Pluto). The inner planets - Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars - are small, dense and rocky while the outer planets - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune - are larger, less dense and are primarily gas and ice. The inner and outer planets are separated by the asteroid belt.

Astronomy: Galaxy Classification

Galaxies are collections of stars, gas, dust, and dark matter, held together by gravity. The types of galaxies include elliptical, spiral or barred spiral, lenticular and irregular. Elliptical galaxies are shaped like ellipses and its stars are mostly red giants as star formation has pretty much stopped. Spiral galaxies have a nucleus in the center from which arms of stars extend. Older stars are found near the center while young stars form in the less dense arms. Barred spirals are the same except that their nucleus spreads laterally to form a bar. Lenticular galaxies are disc-like and have very little interstellar matter left, resulting in almost no star formation occurring and mostly ageing stars. Irregular galaxies don't have a recognizable shape/structure and have less mass than other galaxies, but contain many bright young stars.
