Hello! I’m someone who requires a close friendship and physical comfort around a person to play, so my biggest piece of advice is to befriend whoever you’re playing with! Establish a comfortable relationship where you feel you know them, trust them, and feel like you can be yourself with them! When you’re playing with friends, sessioning feels just like you’re hanging out!
Have an idea of what you like, dislike, are curious to try, and don’t want to try. Negotiating is a very important part of play, especially when you’re playing with someone new. A green flag from a partner is someone who asks about these things prior to the session. Are there spots you don’t want to be touched? Are there spots you like having touched? Do you want to try bondage? Or would you prefer to be free? Is the first session strictly SFW, or are you open to more? Think about these things before meeting up, talk online about them, and definitely talk about everything in-person before the session!
Talk yourself up! Make yourself feel good! We tend to compare ourselves to others and pieces of media. This can make us feel inadequate. Do not put yourself down because you’re not like lees you see. You are a perfect lee the way you are! You identify as a lee- congrats! You’re an amazing lee! Be kind to yourself and get yourself excited for the session! Your Ler will not be focusing on any insecurities you have about yourself; they will be focusing on you, your comfort, and reactions!
Know who you’re meeting up with. Does this person have a reputation? Is this person vetted? Are you friends with this person? Whether you’re into ‘anonymous encounters’ or have established something with this person, make sure they are safe to play with and other people can confirm they are safe. Talk to past people they’ve played with. Have audio and video calls. And when you’re meeting up for the first time, meet in a public setting! And share their user/name and your location with friends so they know where you are and who you’re with!
Negotiate. Talk about everyone’s boundaries and limits! Talk about what’s going to happen during the session! Make sure everyone consents to every activity! Know the safeword/s too! Discuss what you like for aftercare too!
Expect a lot of fun! When you’re a beginner, sessioning may look serious! Though honestly it's the most causal thing! The way I see tickle sessions, it is just another way to hang out and bond! Just two tickly people exploring this interest! You can bring your favourite snacks, play some music or have a show on in the background! You can start with a casual, vanilla activity first, or ease into a session with a massage. You don't have to jump into play right away! Take baby steps! At first tickling someone / being tickled by someone may feel silly and awkward- that’s so normal! Overtime you overcome the awkwardness! Just be yourselves! The rest comes naturally!
