    Seth Thomas clock, 1812-1835. It’s a “Terry Style” clock with Empire influence - a very interesting piece. 

    The case has scrolled pediment center. There is a gold (bronze) powder stencil of fruit and leaves with a black painted background. The mahogany veneered pillars painted black and gold, stenciled with leaves and flowers. The front feet are carved as paws, and the rear feet are turned to small balls. The large, square dial is painted wood with floral spandrels outlined in gold. The lower glass has a reverse painting of buildings in landscape with a gold stencil border. There us a center "eye" with clear glass to view pendulum. A triangular ivory escutcheon surrounds the key hole.
