The Notary Dr. Josef August Eltz with his Wife Caroline (née Schaumburg) and their Eight Children in Ischl, by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, 1835.
The sons of Dr. Eltz are dressed in long tunics worn over trousers with gigot sleeves—very similar to girls' clothing of the era with a shorter skirt worn over pantalettes.
