Given the legend of Medusa being true, is it too difficult to believe in ghosts? Ayano isn’t sure what she’d qualify herself as. Something that shouldn’t exist and yet does-- the way this world works has always been a mystery, and with the Heat Haze as her afterlife, it’s almost as if she’s come back from the dead.
There hadn’t been time to say many goodbyes. She departed without a spoken word, and did what she felt was best. Maybe that was her biggest mistake thinking on it now, but she couldn’t erase what she’s done. If she told them what she planned, they would’ve tried to stop her, she knew that. That was love, a familial bond that couldn’t be broken no matter what. Even now, as she was gone, lost to mist, they loved her. And continued on her tradition in her name.
Being in this place now, there was opportunity for a reunion. Feet planted at the edge of the Savior’s Respite, her sight is focused on the beauty below-- a memorial for the past and how things used to be. It reminded her of a lot. The flowers made her mourn what had happened even if it wasn’t worth regretting over and over. She still continued to question: what was the right choice? Maybe she’ll never find out.
Her focus is faltered at the sound of someone approaching, body partially turning to face them. It made her eyes widen instantly. Her heart swelled. It couldn’t be-- could it? Her eyes take a moment to scan his appearance. That face... Those eyes... That hoodie... Yes. Without a doubt, it was him.
“Seto...?”
Her voice was quiet.
...Was she about to fall off?
