Pegasus was not unduly worried. Other businessmen would readily tremble once informed that Seto Kaiba was in their midst, but Pegasus remained without a care for that fact. In fact, he didn’t pause to look up from his comic book, which he had been previously engrossed with. He heard Kaiba swing the door open, undoubtedly in a dour mood, and the clacks of his elegant shoes spoke of rapid footsteps, approaching him.
And yet, Pegasus had the gall to avoid eye contact. Rather, he was amused. He laughed before Kaiba even had a chance to open his mouth. Then, he kept laughing, because this situation was incredibly funny to him; to any onlooker, and certainly Kaiba himself, the cause for laughter was scarcely apparent.
“ Oh, I’m so very sorry! Did I offend you, Kaiba-boy? ”
“It’s just that .... ahahahaha! I don’t even need to turn around, do I? I can already picture that scowl on your face! You really ought to lighten up, you know. If not for your own sake, at least do it to stop how predictable you’re getting ...”
