Well, I know what’s on the bucket list if I ever get to meet you in person <3 But omg, that’s actually cool! I didn’t know there was one in a museum. I know a few years ago a DeLorean was traveling the country and I almost came close to seeing it person here. XD; Forever sad about that, haha.

Hmm! Memory and identity I can totally see, also the journey of finding oneself. But I didn't know building one's own 'family' was a theme for you. Can I ask why?

It hasn’t been present in Ara & Celi [yet] or in my short stories for sure! But there’s a couple of other stories where gradually the characters come to consider each other like a type of “family unit.” All a mix of different backgrounds and some with families of their own in the mix! If I’m remembering my own notes right XD

It’s...really mainly because I love shows and series where the ensemble cast starts off really shaky or awkward but then grow to consider each other important. To the point where they are somewhat like a family, start acting like one and couldn’t imagine life without them, even if all things must end. Barney Miller is a great example of this imo as well as Star Trek: Voyager. Skip more or less Season 5 or 6 though, most of it’s blegh.

But it’s also been a "thing” with me since school days. I was envious of those situations and desperately wanted something like it while I grew up. Something where people would treat me nicely and consider me important enough to think of me a close loved one. (I’m not counting family here btw haha) But that never happened so I figure, let me live vicariously through my characters and let them know that instead. XDD

For WW: what, out of all your creations, have you put the most work into, and what's your favorite detail of them all?

Oh, most definitely Legendary Beings Ara & Celi! :D It’s the first creation in my, uh, c-career? Let’s call it that for now. I came up with it when I was about 11 or 12 and I’m 27 now--It’s the one I spent most of my life writing and refining, the one for which I spend almost my time drawing ideas and characters. The one for which I buy or check out a gaggle of research books every five months XD

Basically it’s the kid that I constantly groom and fawn over 8)

I’m assuming you mean my favorite detail out of all my stories though? I’ll answer the second both for all of them and for A&C separately just in case!

Everyone: Hmm, probably the importance of memories, dreams and identity. I ended up noticing that I tend to veer towards certain literary aspects through most of my creations, and end up trying to do my own spin on them. Oh, and the importance of finding your own “family”. Of how you can make your own unit regardless of “amount of members” and it is just as viable as any other unit. (Not like cults, though. Nope.)

And colors. COLOORRRS. Designs too <3

A&C: The characters! The plot at times depends a lot on the characters themselves, so I try my best to make them be readable characters. Their appearances are very important for me, and I spend hours wondering if the outfits look okay for them, especially the color palettes! I like balance but also pretty combinations :D I’ve also had them in my head forever, so sometimes it’s like they’re neighbors and such, haha.

I'm a terrible person and still haven't managed to read through Ara & Celi, haha :'D BUT I'M INTRIGUED by the wording on your WW post - what other stories do you have, Jadine? TELL ME!

Starring the ridiculously over-ambitious NAAN 8D

SO I have a couple of stories that I've been working on since...forever. I think last count I did I had...13...so far...I mean, look at this pic I did years back. That's just SOME of them.

However! Some of them I've just had in the back of my head as titles and/or basic plot, possibly characters too. Nothing much done with them, though I have had snippets of chapter ideas written down. Some of these include:

--> UTA: One and two pictures, with descriptions!. A basic magical girl/thief story with sci-fi overtones.

--> Thief-Goddess of the Night NYX: One picture and two, three pictures done by the amazing jojoseames Another thief story but with only one or two elements of magical girl. (I consider it more a "traditional" thief story.) Involves Greek mythology, reincarnation and a nice black panther. Greek mythology by way of the Protogenoi, btw. ('Cuz Olympians are SO last year!)

--> The Footballerinas: One picture. About a group of girls from all walks of life trying to build and play in a football team! This one gets a bit more socially realistic at some point.

--> Rexach: Here. Puerto Rican detective in the 70s with a temporal/magical twist. This one is actually tangentially related to Ara & Celi!

Others I've wrote out the world and characters + settings but just haven't done much with them due to time. (Like the series this little lady is from.) There's this pic I did for practice that has some more series.

Order of The Flowers: Tumblr // dA; About a select group of maiden knights with flower themes. It's a bit epic at one point.

DEMIURGE: Tumblr // dA; ABout a girl whose lucid dreams take her to other places where she will be part of a highly intense battle between two divine sides.

Then there's the ones like Ara & Celi that have concrete plot and characters and world, I just--haven't been able to work on them at the same time. (The two above could count as part of this group, only slightly.)

I've tried once with a futuristic sci-fi story called G&M ~Märchen~ back in 2007. A&C was in 2006 and up until '08 I did both of them. But I was sacrificing quality on one over the other, and G&M was the one who suffered. That's one story that has to be a SPECIFIC WAY for me and I rather not have it turn out less than dreck. Here's the dA folder for the entire story. In the end, I chose to do it as a full-blown graphic novel one day.

THEN there's the collaborative story I'm working on with aeraellyth! the only thing I'm saying about that is that it involves dreams (AGAIN?!) and the title Ouroboric Dreamer. 8D

PHEW. I think I answered this right, hahahaha. 8D

AND YES, Miyara's eternal 'set' expression always contains smirk. Before Dreamworks deemed it 'cool' That was the one thing I wanted it to look like it should be on here tbh. So, so happy she looks just right.
