I also have a q about dogs: we adopted a our first dog ever last October, and of course everyone was super excited and bought her tons of toys. We learned quickly that the rope made her choke and stopped giving her that, but lately she's been throwing up (at least once a week) and we think it might be from the tennis ball fuzz, which she used to eat, but I read that it won't break down in the stomach. I know this is all pretty vague, but any advice would be greatly appreciated :(
Mmmmmm. I think it depends on how likely she is to be eating not just her toys, but other things as well. If it’s been going on a while now, the safest thing is to get an x ray. If she swallowed something, it may not show up on an x ray itself, but I know some vets do barium series tests which shows them if anything is blocking off the intestines.
When my biggest dog was about 2 he was throwing up a lot for over 6 weeks and we kept taking him to the vet and they couldn’t figure it out. Finally an x ray showed he had a big rock stuck in his tummy. He had always gnawed on them and of course we always took them away, but he must’ve swallowed one at some point, which is actually pretty common for dogs to do unfortunately. They were able to get it out with surgery but he was within a day or 2 of being gone. That’s why I say ask for an x ray!
Not that it’s definitely something your dog swallowed. There’s all sorts of things that can make them a bit sick like that. What kind of food does she eat? That could always be a factor. I hope she gets better!!
