Mason Rogers was elected by the other settlers as the future Mayor of the town, as he has a Political Science degree and thus is the only one with even the slightest understanding of how Politics works. So before leaving for the island, he stopped in at City Hall and got himself a job as an Intern so that he could start working his way up the ladder.
