My lovely and dearest Fiona flew out to Washington DC this week to help me settle in and to put out some lingering fires. Then, a day of mourning was announced, so I got my first Federal Holiday. We spent the day reminding myself that Washington DC has a lot to offer and explored a Smithsonian or two. Thank you all for your messages and well wishes in my transition--its getting better.
