He closed his eyes. He felt how water ran down his back. His shirt clinging to his body, water drops dripping, down his face. Oliver let out a breath, as he raised his hand knocking on the door. The rain, the cold, it all remind him of the past. Something he didn’t want to think about, not now. His fists clenched together, it felt like it took forever, it was probably a couple of seconds in reality, the door was opened in front of him.
“Felicity,” he breathed out, he felt the warmth coming from inside of her apartment, maybe it had been a bad idea t show up like this. But he needed a familiar face, someone that understood him, and not judge too much. “Sorry,” he shook his head, “I shouldn’t have shown up, I can leave.” Oliver took a couple of steps back. “I’m just gonna leave.”
Felicity gasped as she opened the door and saw Oliver standing on the other side of it. He had been the last person she’d been expecting to see, things were...well things were a little strained between them at the moment, the team had more or less fallen apart, and they’d grown distant amongst it all. But she still cared about him, she cared about him a lot, it was just hard to show it, especially when Oliver seemed to push her away more times than he actually let her in.
“No, no wait!” she called after him, reaching out and placing her hand on his arm, turning him around to face her, “You’re soaking, at least come inside and dry off...?” she offered giving him a small hint of a smile, “Please? I mean, you obviously came here for a reason, right? Come on, I have coffee...”
