I soo totally agree with everything you said here about Donna and Rachel. It's so, so sad what the writers are doing to them. I loved them so much back in the first and second seasons of the show :/ The fact that they were so independent and confident. Now I just feel that they only exist for the male characters :/ At least I still like Jessica with all my heart. She is super annoying but I can't help but love her character. What are your thoughts on Jessica? :)

Jessica is my favourite female character on the show. Sometimes I get frustrated with her, but it occurs far less often than it does with Donna and Rachel. I'm not one hundred percent on board with how they've handled her romantic relationship with Jeff, but, again, it's a minor quibble compared to the other romantic relationships on the show. I don't know, I mean, she's not perfect, and I'm finding as the seasons go on a lot of her motivations seem more - I don't know ... self-serving maybe? - than in the beginning. Like in the earlier seasons even when she was hard on people I totally got it and it made sense. Even when she was being hypocritical, I still didn't mind it. But the last season or so I'm not sure, I feel like the tone in her decisions have changed. I know this makes no sense, and I can't even really give you any specific examples to back it up, it's just a feeling I have. I still like her, don't get me wrong, I just don't love her as much as I used to.

I read a bit your tumblr and I feel relived to see that I'm not the only one this season 4 broke x) I just can't believe what's happening. My heart fell into pieces when Harvey said that Mike quit because of his ego. Like wtf he told you that it was because he couldn't stand to put people he cares about in danger ("people" like YOU). I can't anymore. URGH. Yep, just needed to share my pain with someone who can understand x)

Yeah, I think Harvey didn’t actually think that’s why Mike left, he was just lashing out. I mean, Mike left primarily for himself, because he thought he wouldn’t be happy in the long term with the secret on his shoulders and never being able to advance anywhere or get any credit for his work. Which I understand. But I do think he left to protect everyone who knew the secret too (especially Harvey, since he was the one that bought Mike in). But yeah, that scene was so painful. :O(
