Kelly does not like when authority is questions. Especially for Omegas, Betas, and women. Everyone is equal even if people believe they can discriminate.
Kelly has a very natural nurturing instinct that he doesn't show much. Everyone usually sees it more with Casey. The accident prone Alpha.
When Kelly and Matt were at odds over Andy Darden, Kelly missed Casey's scent the most. Casey was always calming to him and comforting. He had been so upset over Darden that he even refused to allow Matt to speak with him.
Matt and Kelly made up because of a close call on a fire. Matt got hurt and Kelly had realized he couldn't lose Matt when they were at odds.
Matt has always been proud of the way that Kelly doesn't care about his secondary gender. He loves the fact that Kelly will absolutely kick ass and tell people off.
It infuriates Matt anytime someone refuses to speak to Kelly just because he's an Omega. It's an outdated tradition and like hell he'll let anyone treat Kelly any less.
