I 'm really happy with how this Sewing & Cosplay design is turning out for Katsucon! I've got a little left to do with the pincushions but the Antique Singer-inspired corset is just about finished!  Materials used are dupioni, velvet, foam, and thibra.

For our original cosplay-themed designs I wanted a corset motif that mimicked the wrought iron of an antique Singer sewing machine! I ended up cutting these pieces out from 4mm foam, based on the pattern of the fabric corset underneath it. Covering it in Thibra is taking a million years, but it will eventually be sturdy enough to hold its shape on its own.

While we hold tight for our Katsucon photos, I figured I’d post my most recent progress shot!  This group with @ivorivet consists of three original designs, inspired by cosplay and needlework! The pincushion and Singer corset is still my favorite part of this I think, although having the long pins in there makes it a little difficult to put my arms down. Suffering for cosplay. 💗👌
